Web agency quoting £60 per blog post

Client has a new WordPress website and was very happy with it.

Unfortunately they have been told that in order to post new content the web agency need to be paid a fee per post. The fee for posting is £60 per post.

WordPress is a publicly available free open source web site. This website is based on WordPress. To make a post takes me less than 5 minutes and maybe a couple more if I need to source a photo.

£60 per post is ridiculous.

The web agency did not tell the client that they could upload their own content and explained that it took them an hour, thus the cost.

With a half day training – cost £150, the business is not able to post their own content and using the mobile WordPress App they can post content whenever or where ever they want, with no ongoing fees.
